About Me:
As a preschool teacher I spend my time sharing some of my favorite things with small children- books, glitter, and paint. As a mother of four I love sharing some of my favorite things with my family- Disney and travel. Like most parents my hours are spent driving the minivan, feeding my family, and assisting with homework. When I have downtime in the school pick up line or between loads of laundry you will find me reading a book. I live in the magnificent South Carolina Lowcountry within walking distance of a nature preserve containing black bears, venus fly traps, and the occasional bald eagle.
About My Family: Ranging in age from elementary school to high school senior, our three daughters and son love searching for hidden Mickeys, riding the Disney mountains, and eating Mickey ice cream. Our family has ridden Space Mountain on both coasts and three continents. We are an involved, somewhat geeky family of readers. Our son enjoys video games and politics, our oldest daughter is engaged with orchestra and art, our middle schooler loves horses and our small menagerie of pets, and our youngest is always dancing and singing. The interest we all love, share and enjoy together, however is Disney. Many wonderful experiences as a family have come from visits to Walt Disney World
and our trips abroad with Adventures by Disney. Thanks to Disney we have traveled to Asia, Africa, and Central America for magical, never to be forgotten adventures.
About My Disney Experience: Early in our marriage my husband, a regular at Magic Kingdom since 1971, took me on my first trip to Walt Disney World. My first timer questions were about parking and Space Mountain. Fifty trips later I am still discovering wonderful things about the theme parks and resorts. My adoration of all things Disney is based on an appreciation of well done details, happy, helpful employees, excellently imagineered attractions, and delicious Mickey ice cream. Having traveled with nursing infants, character frenzied toddlers, princess costumed preschoolers, double strollers, Star Wars fans, tweens, teenagers, and my mobility impaired parents, my experience can help you have an amazing, magaical vacation. Traveling to China where we stood on the Great Wall, ate authentic spicy Szechuan food, and visited pandas was all arranged by Adventures by Disney. Our most recent amazing experience was seeing lions and giraffes in the African bush.

Want to find the perfect time to visit! LOW crowds and weather that is NOT too hot, but still comfortable to swim. School vacations are not a factor, but would be great to take advantage of a package discount. Not sure when discounts are offered typically.
- Asked by Jaime on 5/14/2013

Hi Jamie,
Looking for the best time to visit the mouse? Consider September. Families tend not to take their children out of school so early in the year, so crowds are on the low side. The high heat and humidity of summer have past, but do still...
