About Me:
Born in South Philadelphia longer ago than I care to admit, I moved to Jersey when I was 12. Still a Philly girl at heart, I know the meaning of “Whiz Witout,” what a “Mummer” is and where to get a good cannoli. I am a freelance writer and count several military units and an ambassador among my clients. A total domestic goddess, I have a take-out menu collection the size of a phone book and I am a magician at hiding clutter when company comes!
About My Family: My husband and I have been together for 20 years! We have three daughters ages 17, 7 and 3. Jim is a senior IT professional with a well-known computer software company. My high school senior hopes to study international business and law. My second grader plays soccer, cheerleads and attends drama classes. The three year old teaches me the songs from Imagination Movers and ensures that I don’t get comfortable on the sofa watching television and eating bon-bons. We love to travel and have been to nearly every state in the United States, 8 European countries and the Caribbean.
About My Disney Experience: My husband and I honeymooned at Disney World and have been hooked ever since. Living in Orlando for several years, we visited the theme parks at least three times weekly. As the family’s Disney expert, I have planned vacations for celebrations of every kind and for families requiring special assistance, like my low vision survivor husband and my wheelchair-bound father. After having gastric bypass surgery, I now assist family and friends dining with special dietary needs. With my brother-in-law in his second tour of Iraq and my exposure to many returning Iraqi war vets, I have been busy planning wonderful celebrations these reunited families will and have shared at Disney World!

Hi, Kristen! My favorite site for checking out things like kids' menus is www.allears.net . At the top of the page, you'll see a link that says "Dining". When you click that, on the left side of the page, you can choose to view restaurants at any... read more

We are considering a DVC purchase. My question is they have some great incentives for AK, however, I like the location of some of the other resorts better, BW, Bay Lake; is it difficult to get in at a non-home resort if your not going during peak times?

Also...are the parks usually crowded during this time?

Hi, Brian! The beginning of your trip is the tail end of the Thanksgiving weekend, so you may encounter some crowds on the 28th. Many of the Thanksgiving weekend guests will begin going home on Sunday, so you should see things start to thin out a... read more

Anna i love your tea time idea ! One last quick question :) My DD was talking about a slipper dessert. Could this be ordered at tea time at the GF? Or does it have to be done at CRT or GFC or 1900 Park Fare? Thanks a lot, you've helped a bunch!

Hi, Christine! I'm so glad I can be helpful!
The glass slipper dessert is one of those desserts that is so gorgeous, you almost don't want to eat it - ALMOST! The slipper can be made from white chocolate or milk chocolate, and it comes filled... read more
