About Me:  I am a fundraiser/event planner turned stay at home mom. When I am not running to cheerleading practice or a soccer game with my kids, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, and of course, planning our next Disney adventure!

Having this opportunity to be on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel is a dream come true. I have so many wonderful memories of our dozens of Disney vacations, and the idea that I can help other families create memories of their own is truly magical! I am looking forward to answering the challenging questions where I can learn something new right along with our readers.

I never got the chance to be in the Mickey Mouse Club (when I was a child, I REALLY thought I would be able to do that!). However, I think having this experience surpasses even my craziest Mouseketeer dreams!

About My Family: My husband, Mark, and I are both graduates of John Carroll University. I originally thought Mark was just being a good sport about all of our treks from our home here in Cleveland, OH to Central Florida, but then I realized he loved the whole Disney experience as much as I do!

Our fondness of Disney has been passed along to our 9 year-old daughter and 5 year-old son. Seeing the park through their eyes has given us such joy over the years. Our honeymoon, family birthday parties, first steps, my daughter losing her first tooth … we’ve experienced it all at Disney World. We look forward to seeing what magic might happen on our next trip!

About My Disney Experience: With about 40 mouse-eared vacations to my name, I can say that no two trips have ever been the same. With so many resort options, new attractions always popping up and all the amazing restaurants, each trip is a new adventure!

Of course, there are the “can’t miss” things to do on every trip. Who could dream of skipping “it’s a small world”? Yet, as my children grow older, it is fun having that first ride on Rock -n- Roller Coaster with them. The great thing about Disney World is you NEVER outgrow it, you just add more favorites to your list …

Other Q&A's from this Panelist

Question My family and I are planning on staying in a Fort Wilderness Cabin the first week of December. Are the cabins big enough to comfortably hold 5 adults and one three year old or should we look into getting another cabin/room as well?

- Asked by Catherine from VA on 11/19/2009

Answer Hi, Catherine!    While the cabins at Fort Wilderness are nice, it would be a bit tight for 5 adults.    There is one double bed, bunk beds, and a pull out sofa.   I think you might want to consider getting a second cabin so you have some space to... read more

Question We will be celebrating my son's 7th birthday at WDW in May. We have never been to WDW and wanted some suggestions on where to make our dinner reservations. Thanks

- Asked by Amanda from TX on 11/15/2009

Answer Hi, Amanda!  For my family, we like to celebrate birthdays at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort (just a short walk or monorail ride from the Magic Kingdom.)   This is a high energy, fun filled dinner with Mickey, Minnie, and all their pals!  ... read more

Question We will stay at CBR from 1/3/10 - 1/3/10 with a 3 and 5 yr old. We have ADR at CRT & Akershus. Want to reserve 1-2 more character meals. What do you recommend in terms of ease of traveling from CBR to GF or Polynesian or other resorts for b-fast?

- Asked by Robin from AB on 11/14/2009

Answer Hi, Robin,  Getting to a resort on the monorail line really isn't too bad!   You just need to allow enough time for transfers. To get from Caribbean Beach to Contemporary (home to Chef Mickey's), Polynesian (Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo and... read more

Question I would like reccomendations on dining experience for teens?

- Asked by Elsa from PR on 11/14/2009

Answer Hi, Elsa!    For teens who feel "too old" for a character meal, there are still some WDW dining experiences that are fun and unique!   Here are some suggestions: -Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater or 50's Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios -Whispering... read more

Question Thanks - MK and HD (12/29 and 1/1). Wanting to make reservations, but not sure which park would be better on which day? Kids 20 months - age 13. Also, suggestions for dining? eat between 3-5pm and not sure if we should leave parks due to crowds?

- Asked by T from IN on 11/21/2009

Answer Because the park hours are pretty much the same on both dates (Magic Kingdom open until 11:00 p.m. and Hollywood Studios open until 10:00 p.m) which park you visit which day is going to depend on where you can get dining reservations.    At this... read more
