About Me:  My family and I live in Carmel, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. While originally from Columbus, Indiana, I grew up all over the world, including Brussels, Madrid, and Mexico City. My parents showed me the world, and made me fall in love with travel. Fortunately my work as a Marketing Manager in Computer and Technical publishing gives me the chance to visit cities all over the United States (including Orlando!). I love soccer, travel, and helping friends and family plan their Walt Disney World vacations!

About My Family: My name is Doug I. and I am the proud father of two Disney princesses! My wife and daughters and I live in Carmel, Indiana, and I work as a marketing manager for a book publisher. We love to take the girls swimming, to soccer, and anything else that gets them outside having fun. I grew up all around the world, but can think of nowhere better to vacation than Disney World. Our love of Disney World isn't reserved to the four of us! We visit with my mom and my brother's family too. My nieces and I compare notes on the best pools, the coolest attractions, and the best restaurants.

About My Disney Experience: I have been visiting Walt Disney World regularly since it opened when I was just 6, stopping there every time our family came home to the States during summer break. I have visited over 40 times, including the trip where I proposed to my wife. For us it is not just about the parks, but the perks too. We love having new restaurants to try, and never stay at the same resort twice, looking instead to find new experiences every time we visit.

My wife insists on a visit to the California Grill,I require a night of snacking at the Epcot World Showcase, and the grandparents are just busy fighting over who gets to take the girls on their first Disney Cruise!

- Asked by Candi from GA on 11/20/2009

Answer Candi, Every month is a good month to travel to Walt Disney World! But assuming that you, like me, can't afford to just move into the Cinderella Suite at the Magic Kingdom permanently, here is my advice: September and October. I know, that... read more

Question Staying at the Carribean Beach Resort, wondering if it is possible to book a certain village, and which one is best?

- Asked by Fiona from QC on 11/10/2009

Answer Fiona, The Caribbean Beach is a large, sprawling resort. So picking a good building can minimize walks significantly. Make your requests when you do the online check-in, or call the resort (407-934-3400) directly within 10 days of... read more

- Asked by Jennifer from CT on 11/10/2009

Answer Jennifer, Of course there is no way to be 100% sure that Disney will offer such programs for next year, but certainly they have done so regularly for the last several years, so it is a good bet they might do it again. As for whether you should... read more

- Asked by Crystal from PA on 11/21/2009

Answer Crystal, No, I don't think it will take anything away from your experience. It is true that you are spending some time dining, instead of enjoying the special party that you paid a good amount of money to attend. But since you are entering at... read more
