About Me:
I grew up in a very creative family which fostered a love of theatre and the arts. I was naturally drawn to Disney from an early age. After finishing school in Massachusetts, I decided to use my Travel and Tourism degree to work for Walt Disney World and had an "office" at the shops of Main Street USA. Later on, I became a travel agent and Master Cruise Counselor. I also booked plenty of pixie-dusted vacations at the Disney Reservations Company. After many moves between Florida and New England, we finally settled an hour away from Walt Disney World. At home, my three children keep me busy with plenty of activities in and out of school. I combined my love of Disney and writing to create my personal blog and also take on freelance writing projects. In my spare time, I enjoy jewelry making, lots of espresso and of course, going to Walt Disney World.
About My Family: I met my husband during senior year of high school and we've been together ever since. He ventured to Orlando with me in 1995, where we all worked in different areas of Walt Disney World. We were married the following year and had a true fairytale wedding reception at the Walt Disney World Dolphin hotel. I am blessed to have met someone who loves Disney as much as I do, and now our children love it as well. Our 12 year old son enjoys video games, playing drums and guitar, and finding hidden Mickeys. Our 10 year old daughter loves gymnastics, singing, creating any kind of art, and all the thrill rides Disney has to offer. Our 2 year-old son has been going to Disney World since he was an infant, just like his siblings! My mom is also a major part of our family, following us on our many moves. She has been our own personal Tinker Bell, sprinkling pixie dust on our lives throughout the years. No matter where we move, Disney magic has always been a way of life for us.
About My Disney Experience: I've been visiting Walt Disney World since I was a baby but it was the road trip when I was 8 years old where l truly fell in love with all of Epcot and Figment too. Shortly after, my family moved to Florida, which led to countless visits. I've stayed at almost every Disney resort, dined at nearly all the restaurants and attended as many Disney special events as possible. The desire to visit the parks never ceases and when given the choice, we always head to Disney for our vacations, even if it's only for a day. I have to say the wonderful treatment and amenities at Disney resorts have spoiled us for all other destinations! I've planned vacations as a couple, with young children, managed to accommodate the interests of older kids, and taken the lead on trips for large groups. It is a dream come true to be chosen for the Moms Panel and in my opinion, the best way to share all of my Disney experiences and memories.
