About Me:
It's no secret to friends and family that I'm a huge Disney fan and love to visit Walt Disney World. When I'm not vacationing at Disney, I like to learn as much as I can about the parks, especially their rich history, and ever-changing future. I am a lawyer during the day and love to spend any free time I have with my family. I enjoy video-games and coffee. I also am a wine enthusiast, and thanks to the Disney World half-marathon, I've become a runner. Running helps me participate in another hobby with only minimal guilt, eating. I'm always planning my family's next vacation to Walt Disney World and love to help friends and colleagues plan their Walt Disney World trips. I get a rush helping others - I'm a sucker for a happy ending.
About My Family: I am one of two dads raising two awesome and rambunctious young boys. Every night, I look forward to reading my boys a story (mostly Disney-themed, with Peter Pan being the current number one request) as I tuck my eldest in with his stuffed Mickey and my youngest one in with his stuffed Goofy. My husband, Stefan, and I met ten years ago. We share a love of travel and are Disney Vacation Club members. One of the first trips Stefan and I took was to Walt Disney World. Our first family vacation with our boys was aboard the Disney Cruise Line.
About My Disney Experience: Some of my fondest childhood memories are of vacations I took with my family to Walt Disney World. I vividly remember the wonder I felt as a six-year old boy at the Luau at the Polynesian. Now, I am recreating those special moments for Stefan and our sons, as we make new Disney vacation memories together. My all-time favorite Disney family experience was when I ran the Disney half-marathon and Stefan criss-crossed the park via the monorail to cheer me on the entire way. As Disney Vacation Club members we travel to Walt Disney World often. We love to try new or different experiences each visit, while making sure to set aside time for our favorite restaurants, rides, and other attractions.

Hi Hilda:
I understand your concern. I'd guess most families may experience some crankiness during a vacation. The best tips are to take breaks, stay well-fed and well-hydrated, and follow-your grandchildren's pace.

I want to take my grandkids, which include a 6 and 4 year old, to Walt Disney World and stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Is it worth the cost for a savannah room over a standard or pool room?

Hi Hilda:
The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my family's favorite Disney Resorts. You will find a variety of activities to keep your grandchildren entertained. In fact, depending on the length of your vacation, I would consider scheduling a day...

Hi, I am traveling with 6 & 7 year olds. We have four days with park hopper. Should I try to book dinner reservations at the park I am planning on going to that day or is it pretty easy to get around so my reservations can be anywhere?

Hi Kimberly:
The Park Hopper option gives you the flexibility to come and go through the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks on the same day for the duration of your trip, so you are in good shape to dine just about anywhere without too much...

Hi! We'll be at WDW at the end of March using the DP. We want to leave parks midday to avoid crowds. Can you recommend good counter service restaurants at any of the resorts? (Staying at Pop but don't want to eat there every day.) Thanks!

Hi Rachel:
Some of the best counter service on Disney property are at Resorts, which can be, but are not always, less crowded than Park counter service restaurants. Resort counter service restaurants tend to have less seating than Park...
