About Me:  Hi! I’m Heather, stay-at-home mom to three daughters and loving wife to my husband of nearly a decade. I am originally from Greene County, Pennsylvania and moved around a good bit before settling down with my husband in Bardstown, Kentucky. I am an avid reader and also enjoy sewing, embroidery, landscaping and home improvement projects with my family. I am a former Sunday School teacher, vacation bible school teacher and am currently a home-schooling mom. Besides my preschool-aged kids, I keep busy with a tea website that I co-own with my parents, an Internet sales business and am a moderator for an online sales forum. Free time, like sleep, is a thing of the past!

About My Family: I’ve been married for nine years. We both studied at the University of Kentucky and met while in college. My husband went on to obtain his Master’s degree while my career took a new direction: raising our family. In 2003, we welcomed our first daughter, followed by daughter number two in 2005 and our third in 2007. The girls are the light of our lives! We enjoy playing games, watching movies and working outdoors on projects we can do as a family. We are becoming active in our new church and the girls enjoy dancing, cheerleading and Awana club activities. One reason we moved to our town was for its strong sense of family values and family activities. We take advantage of those opportunities as frequently as possible.

About My Disney Experience: I made my first trip to Walt Disney World as an adult with a child of my own and have been busy making up for lost time ever since! We come to Disney World two to three times a year, enjoy our Disney Vacation Club membership and are always busy planning the next trip! I’ve vacationed through newborn, infant, toddler and preschool stages, and while breastfeeding, potty-training and juggling strollers. With three kids under 5-years-old, you name it, we’ve done it! Our girls are at a very special age for Walt Disney World – where the magic is very real. I delight in seeing and sharing their joy. I love to help family and friends plan their Disney vacations and I am now excited to help do the same for your family!

Question Our family (husband, me, 6 and 2 year old sons, 4 year old daughter) are going to be in disney next week for our first visit. I have one meal a day planned, playing the rest by ear. Should I try to schedule more or just go with the flow?

- Asked by Annie from GA on 11/16/2009

Answer Annie, I'm so happy for you!  A first visit is always exciting, but your kids are at especially fun ages to enjoy the magic.  I can say this because my three daughters are exactly the same ages, so I know how enthralled they will be with... read more

- Asked by Lisa from Select a State on 11/19/2009

Answer Lisa, Thank you for the compliment! My family visits Disney every October because it is our absolute favorite time of year to be in WDW!  The Magic Kingdom is decorated beautifully for autumn, and while the weather is still quite warm, it's... read more

Question Going to WDW 11/27 to 11/29 and staying at CBR. We are driving to WDW, but are considering using transportation for the parks. To go to MK, do we need to transfer buses or is it a direct trip? We are traveling with little ones (6, 3 and 9 months). Tks!!!

- Asked by Nelmarie from MD on 11/20/2009

Answer Nelmarie, You will be able to take a bus directly from the Caribbean Beach resort to the Magic Kingdom theme park. That fact aside, I'm wondering why you were thinking of using Disney transportation?  I ask because I also have young children... read more

Question I'm looking for a nice Disney resort for me, my husband, and 10 year old. I'm picky and since you've stayed at every resort, but one, which is your favorite. I've read reveiws and right now I'm leaning towards the contemporary.

- Asked by Dody from AK on 11/14/2009

Answer I really think that choosing a resort should be based on personal preference for themeing.  We are Disney Vacation Club members and as such we typically stay in Villa or Deluxe resorts.  My 'Top 3' resorts are the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness... read more

- Asked by Taura from NY on 11/10/2009

Answer Taura, First off, in the interest of full disclosure I must tell you that I have 3 girls, so we're living in opposite worlds!  That said, I really have no hesitation in recommending the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.  We were in Disney last... read more
