My husband would like to go to the Richard Petty experience in the morning, but I have reservations at Cinderella's Castle at 1:15pm. Could he get to the lunch reservations on time? Or is the Richard Petty Driving Experience going to take all day?

Vroom vroom, Elizabeth! (please pass these motion-oriented sentiments along to your husband
). And, while you're at it, let him know that even if he is twice as bad of a driver as I was, he should still be able to wrap up on time to join you for lunch.
When I did the Richard Petty Driving Experience, I had never driven stick before but I was able to (ungracefully) get my NASCAR style stock car up to 116 mph after getting it out of the gates.
With training, suiting up, squeezing into the car through the window and taking your laps around the track, it takes about 3 hours. Conveniently located near the Ticket and Transportation Center (and accessible via shuttle), it's an easy commute to Magic Kingdom. If he has an early reservation time slot, he'll be able to meet up with you for your late lunch.
Petty in the morning and Cindy at lunchtime. That's a double serving of awesome in my book.
