Hi, Joel, I usually stay at POP, but would like to try another value. I have read things about the all stars and the buses being difficult. Are the buses really that bad compared to POP? What about food?Which all star is best for solo travel? Go PACK!

Hey, Dawn! Thanks for the question (and the love for the Pack!) Super Bowl XLVI here we come!!
I'm a fanboy of Pop Century myself. I like it so much that I haven't deviated from it when staying within the value resort category. I know there are others who feel the same way about the All Stars. The dedicated bus line is the aspect that keeps me put at Pop. Other than that, Pop and the All Stars have comparable food courts, swimming pools and room set-ups.
If you're really in the mood to mix it up, I'd recommend looking out for a deal to stay at a resort in the moderate category. Port Orleans French Quarter is my favorite in that space. And it's not just for the beignets (though my Wisconsin belly would tell you otherwise.) The French Quarter resort offers many similarities to what I love about Pop - it has its own bus line for a handful of routes (and shares with Riverside for others). Plus, it has a centralized food court, single pick up and drop off spot for the busses, and a centrally located pool.
Long story short - I'd return to Pop, or up your game (playoffs!) and go with Port Orleans French Quarter.
