Hi Sheri,
Your best bet for BBQ is the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. The highlight of the menu is the all-you-care-to-eat skillet which includes ribs, pulled pork, chicken, beef brisket, and sausage. These are accompanied by cowboy beans, mashed potatoes, cornbread, green salad, and coleslaw. And if you're in the mood, you can have a bottomless milkshake as your beverages. Mmmmm, yes please.
I did graduate work in Austin, so I'm familiar with good Texas BBQ. While the Whispering Canyon isn't exactly that, it's the closest thing there is at Walt Disney World. And the food is pretty darn good. The Whispering Canyon servers are a rootin' tootin' hoot, known for their over-the-top antics and fun loving mood. I always have a great time when I'm there.
Enjoy!
