Hi Marion, welcome to the Disney Parks Mom's Panel!
It is great that you already started planning and booking your visit to Walt Disney World.
With the dates already set, you should decide what parks to visit and how many days at each park.
Each theme park features activities for at least 1 full day, while water parks offer more of a half day experience.
If your vacation allows revisiting a park, Magic Kingdom should be visited 2 or 3 times - regardless of group or family composition.
Animal Kingdom is my family's second favorite park to revisit, and at Epcot we love walking around the world all day long.
Hollywood Studios features our favorite nighttime show, The Jedi Training Academy and the Animation Station - our favorite family activity, located at The Magic of Disney Animation.
I recommend visiting Walt Disney World Calendar
to view park hours and event times - subject to change.
At the moment May's calendar is not yet available, but should be in the next couple of weeks.
For choosing what park to visit per day I use three criteria: park hours, predicted crowd levels and restaurant reservations.
Long park hours help distribute crowd levels during the day. Early and late park hours are my favorite to enjoy the lowest crowd levels of any day.
I use unofficial sites like Touring Plans to view predicted crowd levels.
Restaurant reservations can be booked with up to 180 days in advance. For availability at your favorite restaurants and times, it is highly recommended to make the most of the 180 days window.
Thank you for visiting and letting us help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
Hope to hear again from you.
