What is the difference between FastPass and FastPass+?
- Asked by Ann Marie from NJ on 10/30/2013
Hi Ann Marie!
Disney's FastPass and FastPass+ service is a great way to spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying your park experience. Both FastPass and FastPass+ work very similarly, both virtually hold a place in line while you spend time enjoying other areas of the park.
With Disney's FastPass just insert your Key To The World Card or park ticket into a FastPass machine and you will be given a FastPass with a return time.Once the return time on your FastPass approaches, just head directly toward the FastPass line and show your ticket a Cast Member. With the regular FastPass keep in mind that you are only allowed one FastPass per a person at a time, once you have reached the return time on your first FastPass you can then retrieve another FastPass. Make sure to take a look at the current FastPass return time that are typically located just above the FastPass machines. If the return time isn't for several hours, you may want to consider other scheduling conflicts before retrieving a FastPass.
Disney has expanded FastPass service to allow guests to plan their park experience ahead of time. FastPass+ will allow you to select your arrival times for attractions even before leaving home or right in the parks.Just log into your My Disney Experience account that is associated with your vacation and start selecting your times for attractions, parades and other magical experiences. This can be done from home or right from your smartphone using the My Disney Experience app.You will still return to the same FastPass line as with the regular FastPass, where a Cast Member will scan your Magic Band to confirm your return time. The Best part is there are no tickets to keep up with, because everything is located right on your wrist.
I hope this was helpful, Ann Marie and please visit me again if you have anymore questions.
