Our first trip is in Jan, and my 5 y/o has an appt. at BBBoutique before MK opens. We are staying at POR. Would we have to pay to park if we drive from POR? We have magic bands, if that makes a difference.

Hi Robin! How lucky that you were able to snag one of those coveted early morning reservations at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! There's no better way for a little princess to start a day at the Magic Kingdom than a makeover at the Boutique!
Guests of the Walt Disney World resort hotels may park for free at all of the Disney parks. When you check in at the Port Orleans Riverside, the hotel will provide you with a parking pass that's good for the length of your stay, so you will not have to pay to park if you drive to the Magic Kingdom or any of the other parks.
The parking lot for the Magic Kingdom is at the Transportation and Ticket Center. If you drive, you'll have to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take the monorail or a ferry over to the Magic Kingdom. For this reason, it's often quicker for Disney resort guests to take one of the complimentary buses from their resort to the Magic Kingdom, since the buses drop guests off close to the park entrance. Buses generally begin running to the Magic Kingdom by 7 a.m. The bus ride takes 20 minutes or so.
