Hi Doug: Will the CBR have made the switch to the new refillable mugs by our Thanksgiving visit? Have the rooms there been outfitted with the new refridgerators? Trying to manage expectations for our large party. Thanks for all your help!

Disney does not typically post dates for such changes, but if I had to guess, I would expect that the Rapid Refill drink program will be in place by the time you get there. I just got to try it out, and it is certainly a departure from their old program. I think you need to consider who they are good for. In our case, we were never going to get to use the mugs much, so this time we passed. But in the right circumstance they can be both a tremendous convenience and a good cost saver.
As for the fridge situation, that is harder to say. I have stayed at both a value and a deluxe resort in the last two weeks, and both had working refrigerators in each room. You are likely to find that is fixed by the time you get there. But if not, call the front desk and ask if they can install a working one. If they can, they will!
