We use to get many Fastpasses throughout our day at the Magic Kingdom. May of the machines would even spit out bonus Fastpasses. We have been asked to use the fastpass + which I understand will only gives you 3 passes for the whole day. True?

Disney is currently still in the testing phase for FastPass + in Walt Disney World so things are not written in stone yet or even completely finalized with FastPass + yet. Currently as I am answering your question, FastPass + is limited to three a day at only one park per day. I have heard of Guests using their Keys to The World Cards (room keys) to get regular paper FastPasses and I have even done this myself in October 2013 (you may be able to do this if you park hop as well). Keep in mind that some of the Walt Disney World Resorts are only issuing Magic Bands and not Magic Bands and Keys to the World Cards to each Guest. If you only have a Magic Band, then you will not be able to use the original paper ticket FastPass system. This may change in the future, but I do not believe that it has changed as of the date that I am answering your question. Also during this testing time, the paper FastPasses at one or more of the Walt Disney World theme parks may be eliminated entirely so in that case your only option would be to use the FastPass + system. If the FastPass + are tiered like at Epcot, then I would recommend using your FastPass + for either Soarin' or Test Track and then go to the other attraction that you do not have a FastPass + for right at park opening when the lines are typically shorter.
I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!
