My husband and I just decided (this evening!) to take our 4 kids to DW (ages 4, 6, 8 & 10). This will be my first trip, too! On such short notice (we'll be there 12/23-12-25) and a somewhat ltd budget...what are the definite must-do's? Cannot wait at 3

, I am so excited for you and your family! The Disney parks and resorts are simply gorgeous around the holidays.
Will you be staying at a Disney resort? If so, consider purchasing a Disney dining plan. Their quick service dining plan is a cost-effective option for feeding your family while you are visiting the most magical place on earth. Quick service restaurants are a good choice as they do not require reservations.
Since the New Fantasyland just opened a week ago, I highly recommend that your family spend time there when you visit the Magic Kingdom. Your kids are going to love all the attractions in the Magic Kingdom so plan to spend as much time as possible there. Your smallest child may be too short for Space Mountain but there will be plenty of attractions for all to enjoy. Be sure to stop by Town Square Theater on Main Street U.S.A. to visit with Mickey and don't miss the Wishes fireworks at night.
If you plan to spend a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios, head to Toy Story Mania! first. There are so many great shows in this park. Your youngest child will likely enjoy Disney Junior - Live on Stage and your oldest children should check out the amazing thrill rides in this park, especially Rock 'N' Roller Coaster with Aerosmith. See Fantasmic! and the Osborne Spectacle of Dancing lights in the evening before you leave the park.
Choose your third theme park based on your family's preferences. If you have animal lovers in your crew, pick Disney's Animal Kingdom. Otherwise, Epcot is an excellent choice.
Let us know if you need any more help as you pull together your last minute vacation plans. This will certainly be a Christmas season your kids will never forget!
