Congratulations on your upcoming trip!
You will absolutely LOVE traveling to Walt Disney World while the Christmas holiday celebrations are in full swing! You will get to admire the beautiful decorations at not only all four of the theme parks, but in the Disney Resorts also!
I am so glad you will get to enjoy all the Downtown Disney has to offer, and the best thing is that no ticket is required! Downtown Disney is the perfect place to go if you have some free time. You will find tons to do there including - visiting the Lego Store and getting great pics with the HUGE Lego statues out front, shopping at the World of Disney Store (watch out for Stitch), sampling all the goodies at Goofy's Candy Co. and Ghiradelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop, and don't forget to grab lunch or dinner at T-REX or Rainforest Cafe!
The best trip planning advice I can give you is to make advanced dining reservations, the popular table-service restaurants (especially the character meals) fill up quickly. You can call (407) WDW-DINE and a Disney cast member will help you find, and reserve meals that will suit your budget and specifications!
