I don't know if I'm the right person to answer this question for you, Samuel, because I think even the worst day at Walt Disney World is better than one of the best days anywhere else! But just in case that's not the same feeling you have...
It is going to be crowded, but if you know that going in, you're already preparing yourself! I advise you to arrive early at the theme parks - as soon as they open. If it's an extra magic hour day, and you have park hopper passes, you may want to go to the extra magic hours, then move to a different park. Use the Fastpass system to avoid some of the lines, and keep in mind that Fastpasses can run out, so if you know there is something you absolutely don't want to miss, and it is a Fastpass attraction, get your Fastpass as early as you can.
Eat at off-peak times. Try lunching at 11 instead of noon, and have dinner later in the evening, like around 8. If you can stand to miss the parade, you may find lines are a little shorter when the theme park parade is going on, as many of the guests will be lined up along the parade route.
Go with a plan to see the things you definitely don't want to miss, and make it your mission to see and do those things. Everything after that will just be bonus magic!
Don't fret the crowds! I like to think of it as a big extended family there to share the Magic with me!
