We are going to WDW Dec 11-16 with 7 yr grandson & 8 month granddaughter, can you suggest what are the "must do" and "must see" special events at the different parks? Any suggestions on where to eat? Thank you!

Thanks for writing. With kids your grandchildren's ages, here are some "must-dos" from my perspective.
At Magic Kingdom: Buzz Lightyear, Tea Cups, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain
At Epcot: Soarin, Test Track, Journey into Imagination and Mission Space
At Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari, It's Tough to be a Bug, Nemo: The Musical
At Hollywood Studios: Toy Story Mania, American Idol Experience, The Muppets and The Great Movie Ride
This is by no means an complete list, but a few suggestions of attractions and performances that my kids enjoyed at this age.
As for dining recommendations inside the theme parks, my boys love Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom, Hollywood and Vine and Mama Melrose at Hollywood Studios, Tutto Italia and Coral Reef at Epcot and Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern and Tony's at Magic Kingdom.
I hope you all have a magical trip!
