This is our first cruise. Do we have to do excursions at the ports? we are going to nassau and castaway cay. we would love to just sit on the beach all day and enjoy the water. HELP!!!!

My Fam including two children ages 3 and 4 are sailing i3 days in spring of 2010. We are not planning any shore excursion due to our budget limitations. I have read that Nassau can be a bit dirty?/ do you think it is worth it or should we stay on the ship

Guess what? Our family did the exact same thing the first time we sailed with the Disney Cruise line. Our son was having such a great time on the ship and we wanted to save money, thus we did not sign up for any shore excursions.
