Can anyone confirm if they're using the MagicBands (MyMagic+) at Bay Lake Towers yet? We're staying in April, & from what I've read this sounds like a great convenience. Thank you for providing such a great service to us!

Your spring visit is quickly approaching! As you mentioned, the MagicBand is part of a brand-new system at the Walt Disney World Resort
called MyMagic+, which will provide Guests like you with exciting ways to personalize and simplify their vacations. The MagicBand is worn like a bracelet and has the capability of serving as your room key, theme park ticket and PhotoPass card. It will provide access to FastPass+ attraction selections and can be used to make purchases, illuminating the need to carry credit cards. MagicBands can even provide information to Cast Members and Disney Characters, which enables them to call children by name or wish them a happy birthday, for example, without being verbally prompted.
Disney has begun releasing and testing certain aspects of MyMagic+ and plans to make it available to all Walt Disney World Resort Guests over the next year. Although an exact date when the MagicBands will be available to all Guests hasn't been announced at this time, the very first Guests to experience MagicBands will be those staying in Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. Since you’re staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort
on your next vacation, it’s possible that you’ll have the opportunity to experience aspects of this innovative new system. There are actually many vacation planning tools currently available to Guests through the recently-debuted My Disney Experience website, so be sure to check it out as you prepare for your upcoming trip. Please let me know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!
Wishing you magic,
