I need to book a babysitter and I would like to take the kids to a character breakfast at the Contemporay. How do I do this?

Sounds like you have two questions, so I'll take them in order. Disney World has two options for "babysitting" services that I would recommend. For children over 4 and potty trained, you can make use of one of the many children's activity centers located in a number of resorts on property. (You don't need to be staying in one of the resorts to use the centers.) If your children are under age four, or you prefer in-room care, you can arrange for in-room babysitting through one of the independent companies Disney contracts with, including Fairy Godmothers (407-277-3724), or Kid's Nite Out (kidsniteout.com, or 407-828-0920). Their child-care providers will watch small children and/or infants in your hotel room while you go out. The sitters generally come to your room with games, books, or small craft projects. Both organizations get great reviews from parents who have used their service.

For character breakfast reservations, you need to call the Disney Dining Line at (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) up to 90 days before your arrival. Some of our favorite character breakfasts are Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary, Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom and Cape May Buffet at the Beach Club Resort.
Have a great trip!
