I am a single dad with three boys 13,11,9 years old. We are thinking about doing the 4 night bahama on the Dream in October. Can you give me a ball park conservative amount of spending funds we would need for the four days. Also what type of clothes

Ahoy, Samuel! I'm so happy to hear you are thinking of cruising with Disney! Your family will absolutely love sailing on the spectacular Disney Dream! Once you've paid the cruise fare in full, you've covered most of your onboard expenses. However, there are a few exceptions for which you might want to budget additional money. These are noted below:
- Alcoholic beverages, smoothies, specialty coffee drinks, and a few food room service items
- Dining at either Remy or Palo (be sure to make reservations in advance)
- Any treatments at the Senses Spa & Salon (pricing varies according to treatments)
- Port Adventures & Shore Excursions, which may be reserved and paid for prior to cruising
- Pre-packaged snacks at the Buena Vista Theatre and the Walt Disney Theatre
- Photos purchased from Shutters Photography Services
- Expenses incurred at the Arr-cade
- Internet Usage and Phone Calls
- Gratuities & Tips
- Hair Braiding
I personally budget anywhere between $500 to $1000 to cover the above expenses. However it will mostly depend on the activities your family will wish to experience during the cruise. Be sure to read the Packing Tips for a list of items to bring on your family's Bahamian Adventure!
Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Enjoy a most magical sailing with Disney Cruise Line! Bon Voyage!
It looks like Ritzy has got you all fixed up with a great list of extra items you and your boys may want to consider on your Disney Dream cruise. (I sure would like to know if you plan on getting your hair braided! Ha, ha!)
I also have three boys, and packing is sometimes a challenge when it comes to the gentlemen in my family heading out for a cruise. You want them to be comfortable for all the activities such as swimming, playing ping pong or basketball on deck or casually romping on the ship or the island. Yet, at night, you're going to want to encourage them to dress up just a bit for dinner. Bring along a couple of pairs of khaki pants or nice slacks for each son and a collared shirt per evening. They'll need a belt and maybe a pair of loafers or deck shoes, too. That's really all they'll need, and you can assure them that they can change clothes after dinner if they want to hit the Youth Activities Spaces
Remember to take a little time for yourself in the Adult Areas
aboard the Disney Dream. Armed with a wave phone, your guys will be only a phone call away, and you can relax in preparation for some adventure with them either in port or on the ship. There are several videos on DisneyCruise.com
outlining all there is to see and do onboard the Disney Dream...go check them out and let me know if I can answer any more questions you think of.
Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation! Bon voyage...
