My family will be cruising August 17 to 24. My son is 14 and a little shy. Can I go into the teen club with him the first day just for a quick look around and help him feel comfortable? Is a certain I should go ie while still in port etc.

Welcome aboard, Dawn! Setting sail next week with Disney Cruise Line, I bet your family is really getting excited at this point! With so much to offer every age onboard the ship, you are in for one very magical cruise!
is the Teen Club on the ship. Counselors in Vibe are great at creating fun icebreakers and activities, especially that first night onboard, to help the teens get to know each other in this cool environment. When you first board the ship, you'll receive a Personal Navigator. This is the schedule of events and activities throughout the ship for each day. You'll notice that Vibe will be holding Open House hours for most of that first day. During this time, families can join their teens to stop into Vibe and check out all the fun that's in store. You and your son can meet his counselors, check out the space and hear about all the excitement that is planned for the cruise.
Later that night, regular programming will begin in Vibe, when only the teens are allowed in. After he's checked out the club with you during Open House, I recommend that he definitely plan to head to the club after dinner that night. The first night is when the teens get to know each other and the counselors, as well as the time when they get to help plan the activities for the cruise! Everyone is new and getting to know each other then, so it's the best time to be there, as opposed to joining in for the first time a day or so into the cruise when friendships are already forming.
I hope that information helps as you count down these final few days before setting sail, Dawn! Have a wonderful cruise!
