We are goin on an E. Carribean with the grandparents and two teen daughters. Celebrating sweet 16, and is our first cruise. Do I need to schedule and pay for a port activity or will we have plenty of fun just getting off ship and staying at the FREE beach?

My family recently sailed the Eastern Caribbean itinerary and had the most fantabulous week enjoying the spectacular Disney Fantasy as well as these beautiful ports of call! I know your crew will also have an amazing vacation especially with a very special celebration during your sailing!
The ship is a destination in itself so you can plan on having a lot of fun onboard this classic beauty! You can get off and explore the area around the port and pick up some souvenirs if you are looking to save some money. There are not any beaches within walking distance in St. Thomas so if you decide to venture out on your own, you will need to budget for a taxi and possibly a fee to use the beach area. In St. Maarten, Great Bay Beach is within walking distance of the pier, and it does also have food and shopping there as well.
When you stop on Disney's island paradise, Castaway Cay, you will get to experience a relaxing beach day with calm surf, beautiful turquoise waters, and soft, white sand! The ship pulls right up along the pier so everything is a short walk or tram ride away. Lunch is served on the island so there is no need to return to the Fantasy until you are ready to head back for more fun onboard!

Have a magical day!
