Hi Billie! Your daughter is a lucky girl to have her Prince Charming propose to her at Walt Disney World - a dream come true for so many! You haven't mentioned what the budget is, so I will offer you a range of options that your future son-in-law could look into.
At Epcot, how about arranging a cruise for viewing Illuminations: Reflections of Earth? This private fireworks cruise could be just for the two of them, or up to 10 guests. Call 407-939-7529 for more information and to book. Since The Land is her favourite, and she loves the Lion King, how about viewing the Circle of Life film, featuring Pumba and Timon, followed by dinner at the Garden Grill. He could arrange for the ring to be brought with dessert, and having the characters in attendance would be the cherry on top!
At Animal Kingdom, a proposal after viewing the Festival of the Lion King would be really sweet. I always leave singing Hakuna Matata in my head! He could get down on one knee, and tell her she will have "no worries" if she would marry him - I can just picture it now!! Or, how about saying he'd love to have a photo with Minnie and Mickey dressed in their travel outfits for their upcoming expedition, over at Adventurers Outpost. He could pull out an autograph book with the words "Will You Marry Me" printed on one of the pages, timing it so she would see it just as she approaches Mickey or Minnie. This would ensure the PhotoPass photographers could capture the moment, and then getting character autographs on the actual proposal page would be really fun!
If you'd like some professional help, contact the Dream Makers at Disney Floral & Gifts - they have loads of experience in planning simple to elaborate marriage proposals all over Walt Disney World, and are happy to work with different budgets and ideas. Call 407-939-4438.
Good luck Billie, and thanks for your question!
