Hello Monique! Thank you so much for your question about the Adventures by Disney Australia Family Vacation
. Taking this trip while your kids are out of school is a great idea - due to the lengthy travel time, and the fact that the trip itself is 12 days, you'll need to plan to be gone for at least 2 weeks. Plus, you'll need to factor in jet lag upon your return home, so be sure to plan for a couple of days until you return to "normal". The seasons are in fact the opposite of ours, due to Australia being south of the equator. This means that the hottest temps will be in December, with cooler temps (but by no means cold) during our summer vacation. Both of these time periods are considered tourist season though, so flights will cost you pretty much the same during either time. I think it will really come down to the best possible time frame for your whole family - which time period will have the least impact on school or work? Also, do you want to be away from home during Christmas/New Year's? Really, though, I don't think you can go wrong with either - it's an amazing vacation in one of the most sought-after locations!
Monique, if you're going to be booking this Adventures by Disney
Australia Family Vacation, I would suggest doing so just as soon as the 2015 dates are released. The lowest prices will be as soon as the release happens, with the prices rising as the dates book up. They usually release the dates in late spring/early summer, so keep an eye on the website or have your travel agent let you know as soon as the dates are announced.
Please let me know if I can answer any other questions you have about this ,or any other Adventures by Disney
itinerary - I would love to help you! Have a magical day!
