« back to Castaway Cay
Hi! Can you get on and off the Disney Dream at Castaway Cay or do you have to stay off the ship all day? Also, we have a 14 month old - are there nursery services for her on Castaway Cay or only the nursery on the ship?

Welcome aboard, Jonathan! I must admit that one of my favorite places in the entire world is Castaway Cay!
Guests can come and go from the ship throughout the day at their own leisure at Castaway Cay. Since the ship pulls right up to dock at the shore, it's easy to make a quick trip back to your stateroom if your little one needs a nap, or if you'd like her to spend some time with the counselors in It's A Small World Nursery
While there is a Youth Club on the island called Scuttle's Cove, this is the equivalent of the Oceaneer Club and Lab onboard, for kids ages three to twelve, so your daughter will need to enjoy time in It's A Small World. This nursery will remain open onboard the ship throughout your day at Castaway Cay. If you want to book some time for her that day while you sneak away for adult time on the island, be sure to log into your reservation online when your online check-in begins (75 days prior to sailing for first time guests with Disney Cruise Line). There you can pre-book nursery time. Some time slots do fill up, so I would be sure to book it in advance.
Your family can enjoy a fun morning with your daughter on Castaway Cay and once she's ready for a rest, bring her to the nursery to relax or play with the counselors while you sneak away to Serenity Bay, the adults only beach on the island. There is always something going on at Castaway Cay, so I'm sure you'll find quite a bit to do. And what I love is that thanks to the tram that runs between the different beach areas and the ship, you're never more than a relaxing tram ride away from returning to the ship or back out to the beaches again.
Have fun as you continue to plan, and let me know if I can help with anything else, Jonathan!
