Im taking my daughter to Disney the week of May 23,2014. I was wondering what the weather is usually like and is it crowded considering it is Memorial Day weekend?

Hi Tammy! May has always been one of my family's favorite months to visit Walt Disney World.
The weather in May is usually comfortably warm and sunny, with temperatures averaging in the upper 80s during the day and the mid-60s at night. Attendance levels in the Disney parks are fairly moderate in the early part of May, but the crowds do increase near Memorial Day. The parks won't be at maximum attendance levels like you'd see at Easter and Christmas, but they will likely be quite busy. (The unofficial website EasyWDW.com is predicting park attendance to be an 8 out of 10 during the week you're visiting.)
The best strategy for a holiday visit to Walt Disney World is to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours
for Disney park guests, arrive at the parks before they open each day, and use the FastPass service to avoid waiting in long lines for the popular attractions. Making dining reservations in advance ensures that you won't have to wait for a table at your desired restaurants.
