Is the China trip recommended for teens? Ages 13 to 16.

I took the Adventures by Disney trip to China during summer 2013 when my daughters were 13 and just-turned-17. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this trip. I've been on six AdD trips, which were all great, but the China trip was above and beyond fantastic.
The kids on my China trip ranged from age 8 to 19, but the majority were in their mid teens. I think the teen years are actually the best for this particular trip because the travel component is fairly taxing. In addition to the long flight to China, there were several internal flights. The younger kids were extremely tired at various points, but the teens fared well. Another advantage of having teens in this trip is that they can really start to understand some of the historical and political topics discussed by the local guides. My history-buff high school junior daughter experienced Tiananmen Square in an entirely different way than the fourth grader in our group.
The only real aspect of the trip that was specifically geared toward younger kids was a showing of Mulan one evening. As it turned out, the smaller kids mostly fell asleep and it was the adults who watched. It was actually quite interesting to see how the animators used sites we had visited in the trip in their artwork.
I could ramble on for ages about this trip: the food, the hospitality of the guides, the crazy awesome hotels, getting up close and personal with pandas, climbing the Great Wall, all were amazing.
I'd be thrilled to answer any questions you might have about AbD China. PLEASE let me know what else I can do to help.
