« back to Boardwalk
Hi! Finally planning in checking out the boardwalk this trip! Is it better to go during the day or evening? Should we go as a family or is it better as a date night with DH? How far of a walk/boatride is it from the parks?

Thanks for popping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question! I'm a former Manitoban myself!
I absolutely LOVE Disney's BoardWalk Area! After experiencing the area as a family for the first time about 4 years ago, it has quickly become a part of our 'must do' list on each and every visit to Walt Disney World!
I'd suggest visiting over dinner hour and into the evening. If you're thinking of enjoying a family meal in the area, consider Cape May Cafe or Captain's Grille. You'll find this area so vibrant at night and unlike any other part of Walt Disney World you've experienced before! At around 7:00pm most nights, you'll find a magician set up for a show just out front of Flying Fish Cafe. There are also shopping, arcades, restaurants, ice cream and an old-fashioned candy shop just to touch on a few of the delights in the area. Stroll all the way around Crescent Lake on the BoardWalk and check out the beach and nightly movie over at the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.
Should you decide on a date night instead, consider reserving the Sandcastle Club at Disney's Beach Club Resort for your kids while you enjoy an adult meal at Kouzzina, Flying Fish Cafe or the Yachtsman Steakhouse.
Disney's BoardWalk Area is an easy walk from Epcot's International Gateway (around World Showcase between the UK and France pavilions) or an enjoyable boat ride from the gates of Disney's Hollywood Studios. From Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom, take a Disney Transportation Bus to the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel from which it's a 5 minute walk into the BoardWalk Area.
If you think of additional questions about your upcoming visit, feel free to send them my way Laura! I'd love to hear from you again!
Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
