I am Catholic but always dreamed of celebrating at either WDW. Are there any Catholic churches in Kissimmee that Disney is associated with so that I could get married in the Catholic Church then celebrate the reception at one of theme parks?

Hi Laura! This is the second question today for celebrating weddings or vow renewals at Walt Disney World. I love answering these questions as my daughter held her wedding at Disney and we just had our vow renewal there this past December. It is truly a magical place for a special event.
Head over to the Disney wedding website, www.Disneyweddings.disney.go.com, to look over the various options one has when considering a wedding on property. The planners are well aware that a Catholic wedding is not able to take place there and they will have multiple options for you to consider. They are able to assist all brides and grooms with everything from the officiant to reception and can handle all details. If your ceremony must be off property they will assist with transportation to and from and you can certainly hold the reception just about anywhere. You might choose one of the beautiful ballrooms at a resort or book something special inside a park. If you choose a park please understand that private functions must begin when the park closes to the other guests so this will likely be a late night event. They will offer options for each park for you to consider. We just held our vow renewal inside the Great Movie Ride in Hollywood Studios and it was amazing!
Depending on the size of your guest list you can reserve a private spot in Epcot for an Illumination reception. We held one for our daughter in the Italy Isolo area which can handle up to about 250 guests for a stand up dessert type party. If you choose a sit down dining event then the number would be much less. Two other locations are great for this and they are in the United Kingdom and France. Your wedding planner would assist you with all the decisions and details!
