We leave very soon for our 1st cruise! One of our stops is Cozumel. We want to try a dolphin excursion however my 4yo might be to scared to participate. If we book for all 5 of us and he chooses not to do it will we be refunded his cost?

Welcome aboard, Gloria! Your family is going to enjoy every moment of your cruise with Disney to the Western Caribbean. Cozumel is a beautiful spot, and there are some wonderful dolphin adventures there.
You'll want to take some time now to decide if you think your son will be up for the dolphin swim or not. Cancellations can be made up to three days before the cruise sail date without penalty. However, after that, the Port Adventures are non-refundable. Some dolphin adventures also have a dolphin observer option for those who want to tag along but don't want to be in the water with the dolphins and swimmers. That might be something to consider if another adult is along to be with him as an observer. For example at Dolphin Discovery, those who want to swim can book the Dolphin Discovery Cozumel adventure, and those who don't want to swim could go along by booking the Dolphin Discovery Observer
adventure. Everyone can then enjoy Chankanaab National Park together after the conclusion of your program.
Similarly, consider the Dolphin Observer at Dolphinaris
if that is where you've booked your dolphin swim. This particular location offers so much else to do after the swim is over that the whole family can enjoy, Gloria.
I hope that helps as you count down these last few days until you set sail! Have a wonderful cruise!
