Hi Allison! My dad is a huge Disney fanatic & I'd like to do something special for him. Would you recommend Dining with an Imagineer?

You're a super sweet daughter to want to do something special for your Dad!
I Dined with an Imagineer
on my last visit to Disney. Our lunch was at The Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney's Hollywood Studios (DHS). We each received a personalized name tag unique to this experience. Before we met the Imagineer, a host gave us a brief history of the original Hollywood Brown Derby & pointed out a lot of interesting things at the DHS location.
Our lunch was in a private dining room. The menus were also personalized for each of us including our name, date & the name of the Imagineer. They took a group photo that they included in a brochure with the Imagineer's biography at the end of the meal.
He told us how he became an Imagineer. I thought it was interesting that not every Imagineer starts out to be an Imagineer - sometimes their journeys lead them to it. He also talked about some of the projects he'd worked on for Disney. He told us some really neat stories & I soaked them all up a like a sponge. It was very casual & he was open to any questions that we had while keeping in mind that he could not divulge any company secrets or confidential information.
At the end, we were all given a special plate to commemorate our lunch. We had the option to have the Imagineer sign the plate if we wanted & he posed for pictures. The lunch lasted about 1 1/2 hours & I had a great time. I did this on a day my whole family was visiting DHS & they did other things while I was Dining with an Imagineer & I met up with them when I was finished.
This is a fantastic experience for Disney fanatics & I think that your dad would love it! You can make reservations by clicking on the link above or by calling 407-WDW-DINE :-) Allison
