One last question about Africa...I think! Can you tell me the predicted weather for the end of March/early April? What do you suggest we pack for the trip in general and also for the safari rides?

Hi Kay. Thanks for your question about the South Africa Safari with Adventures by Disney!
March and April are considered to be Fall/Autumn in South Africa. When I investigated the temperatures we may encounter on our trip, I saw that the daytime temps should be very comfortable in the mid 70's, with nights falling to the mid 50's. This sounds like we may need to bring clothes that we can layer and remove as the day gets warmer, and then put back on in the evening. I have been told that this is a pretty casual trip, clothing wise. I don't think it is necessary to bring dressy clothes, unless you plan on a fancier dinner on your own in Cape Town. Generally for safaris, neutral coloured, lightweight clothing is recommended. I plan on bringing some clothes made of easy-care fabric that if needed, I could wash out in the tub/sink and they would dry quickly. Comfortable hiking shoes are also good to have, as is a hat. Fall in South Africa does not normally have a lot of rain, but if you have rain-gear I would bring that too. The safari vehicles are open-air so we definitely want to prepared for any type of weather.
I hope this information is helpful to you in planning your packing for your trip. When we receive our information packets from Adventures by Disney
there will also be a packing list, so we can double-check to see if there's anything we've missed.
