Ok I lied...not the last question but maybe this one is. Again for the ABD AFrica trip what kind of things do we need for our electronics? I notice the plugs are quite different...do we need special convertors too? ipads. iphones, ipods, kindles?

Welcome back Kay! Please don't worry about asking me questions, as it is my pleasure to help you! For our Adventures by Disney
South Africa Safari, we will need to bring a voltage converter as well as a plug adapter. Voltage used in South Africa is 220V, so we definitely don't want to damage our valuable electronics! Some hotels may have a plug in the room for international guests - this is always great, but I have only been able to confirm that the Kapama Lodge has this. I purchased my kit at Brookstone, and it is a converter that has all of the worldwide plugs in a handy little box. It cost me around $30, and we have found it to be very useful on many of our trips. Another thing you may want to do is to bring an extra battery or two for your camera. There is nothing more frustrating than having a perfect photo opportunity only to discover that your battery is dead - And I have the feeling we will be taking hundreds of pictures on this scenery intensive adventure!
