Taking kids (ages 7,5, 4 over 42 in) to Disney, 5 day pass. Trying to preplan which rides to fp and prioritize. Can you provide a sense of how each ride works with swapping, and whether one kid will have to ride alone or wait while 4 of us ride etc. . .?

Having a family of seven this is something my family has learned to perfect over the years.Walt Disney World has many attractions that will fit the whole family, which is such a treat to have everyone in my family enjoying the attraction all together.Rides such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Soarin, Kilimanjaro Safari and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will easily accommodate your entire family.
Some Two-seater attractions can fit 2 adults or 1 adult with 2 smaller children.Rides like Voyage of The Little Mermaid, The Haunted Mansion and The Seas with Nemo and Friends are rides that would easily accommodate your family with 2 in one and 3 in another.
For those attractions that won't fit the entire family at the same time or your youngest may not be ready for, you have a couple of options that would help.FastPass is obviously a great choice, not only to save time, but to help sorting which family members will be riding together. When using FastPass to help with two-seater attractions such as Rock 'n' Roller Coaster,I will typically have my children ride in front me while I am seated behind them.Children must be 7 or over in order to experience an attraction without an adult or someone over the age of 14.
Another wonderful accommodation,is the Rider Switch Ticket. At participating attractions, let the cast member out front know that you would like a Rider Switch Ticket. The first part of your party will continue on in the regular line, while an adult waits with the rest of the party.Once the first party finishes enjoying the attraction, the second party will proceed to the FastPass line with their ticket. The ticket is good for up to three guests, which will give everyone in the family a chance to ride the attraction and is great for attractions that some guests just aren't quite ready to ride.
Please let me know if I can help you with any aspect of your Walt Disney World vacation planning!
