Welcome aboard, Milagritos! You are going to love Castaway Cay!
There are private cabanas available to rent on both the Family Beach and Serenity Bay (the adults only beach). These cabanas are about 325 square feet and offer families of up to six a relaxing retreat of their own, complete with private beach area, fresh water shower, loungers, refrigerator with drinks and snacks, hammock and some other nice amenities. They run $499 to rent and sell out quickly.
But a private cabana is certainly not a must! There are plenty of lounge chairs throughout the beaches on Castaway Cay, many with umbrellas if you like the shade. Since we like to be on the go and participate in the many activities available, our family prefers to skip renting a cabana since we'll be all over the island.
You'll find activities like crab races, character dance parties and more going on all day on the island. Scuttle's Cove is the Youth Club (like Oceaneer Club and Lab on the ship) if your little ones want to play with the counselors for part of the day while you sneak over to the adults only Serenity Bay for a bit of relaxing. My kids are happy just taking ride after ride down the slides at Pelican Plunge, playing at Monstro's Point whale dig, dancing with the Disney characters and playing in the water and on the beach, none of which carry any additional cost! Since your food and most non-alcoholic drinks are included on the island, you can very easily not spend a single extra penny and still have the time of your lives! But, the extra activities are a lot of fun too! Have fun planning, Milagritos! Let me know how else I can help!
