Yikes! We leave for Disney in 3 days and my 9 year old has done something to her foot, she can't walk on it and we're going for X-rays in the morning. I'm a planner, what do we do now?! How do we get around? Airport, resort, park...my head is spinning.

Hi Christy ~
Bless your little girl's heart. First - take a deep breath - its going to be okay. This exact thing just happened to my neighbor's son this week. They had been planning for months and the day they were leaving, he sprained his foot on the playground at school.
If your daughter ends up on crutches or needs the assistance of a wheelchair, most airports have courtesy wheelchairs that should assist you getting through the terminal to the plane. Once you reach Orlando, you can ask for another wheelchair to assist you getting to Magical Express or your rental car location.
Most of the Disney Resort Hotels have a limited number of complimentary wheelchairs that you can use. They may require a refundable deposit. Disney offers wheelchair rentals
for use at all 4 theme parks. I recently provided another Guest with information regarding wheelchair rentals
that you may also find helpful.
There are First Aid Locations
in all of the parks. If you feel she needs any assistance (i.e., ice or a place to take a break), please feel free to stop in. You are also welcome to stop by any Guest Assistance location as well.
Its going to be okay. You're still going to have an awesome trip. This may slow you down a little but sometimes taking things a little slower at Disney isn't always a bad thing. It allows you time to enjoy the details you often over look when you're in a hurry.
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
