Planning a Sept 2009 vacation & wondering if with the children being 3 & 5 at the time will the dining pass be the best thing for us and are we allowed to have it since we will be staying off the WDW grounds?

Currently, you must be residing at a Walt Disney World Resort to purchase the Dining Plan.
However, if you think you may stay on-site, the Dining Plan could still be a value to your family even at ages three and five. The Basic Dining Plan is a bargain for children at approximately $10.
It also allows you to prepay some of your vacation ahead of time which I love. It is a smaller credit card bill to come home to pay.
I hope this helps!
