Is there a program or something that will allow access to rides without waiting in line, other than the FastPass? Is there a VIP pass? We will have 6 or 10 people to celebrate my 70th birthday. Can anything special be done?

At some other theme parks you can purchase a VIP type pass that allows you to bypass the lines for attractions, but this does not exist at Walt Disney World. With early arrival at the parks and good Fastpass planning, my family has managed to not wait in line longer than about 15 minutes for any attraction in several years. There is a website, tourguidemike.com, that for a fee of about $20.00 will help you plan a trip to WDW with minimal wait times.
If you were really in the mood to splurge, you could arrange for a VIP tour guide
to show you around WDW. As you can see from the link above, this is a very expensive way to see the World. The VIP guides will be able to get you preferred seating at some of the shows in the parks. However, they are not allowed to bypass the lines for you. What they can do is use their Disney expertise to help you tour the attractions in a way that minimizes wait time. They will also run ahead to get Fastpasses for you.
