After many trips over two years with an infant and now a toddler my wife and I have a kid free trip planned for some fun at DL with one another. What would you recommend special for a memorable time together at the happiest place on earth?

I’m so happy to hear you’re planning a visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth” with your wife! My husband and I enjoyed many trips to the Disneyland Resort before our son was born, and it’s still my favorite “date night” destination. If you’re staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, an in-room celebration would be a magical addition to your trip. From gift baskets and bouquets to room decorations and desserts, the Disney Dream Makers offer many gift ideas for a special welcome. Call (714) 781-GIFT for more information.
My pick for a quiet meal for two is Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure Park. When I dined there for the first time, I was star-struck by the romantic 1930s Hollywood atmosphere. It’s on the second floor of the park’s reproduction of Carthay Circle Theatre, which was where Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered, so the much of the restaurant’s luxurious décor pays homage to the film and Walt himself.
Don’t forget to get FASTPASS tickets for your favorite thrill rides and enjoy the activities you never seem to have time for when visiting with your little one, whether it’s seeing a late-night show, relaxing at the pool, taking a leisurely stroll through all the shops and galleries on Main Street, U.S.A., or even something as simple as people-watching on a bench while enjoying your favorite Disneyland Resort snack. If you want an escape from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks to enjoy some pampering, treat yourselves to a couples massage at Mandara Spa, located at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. To make an appointment, call (714) 300-7350.
Please feel free to ask me more questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted romantic getaway, Eric!
Wishing you magic,
