Won some airfare so maybe an impromptu trip to Disney in October but will need to watch our budget! Is it worth paying more for A of A over AS Movies? Is it better to go the week before a long weekend or the week after (will avoid holiday either way) Thx

Woohoo! Congrats Bethany on your big win! Sounds like the perfect starter to planning a Disney World vacation! If money is of concern, then my motto is to always go with the cheaper option. Chances are really good you will spend minimal time in your room, and all Disney resorts are fantastic in their own way. You will enjoy the same perks, including Magical Express transportation to and from the Orlando International airport, theme park Extra Magic Hours and bus, boat, train and monorail transportation all over Disney property regardless of which resort you choose. If you really want to see the fab new Art of Animation Resort, then you might want to consider Disney's Pop Century Resort
. It is typically priced lower than Art of Animation and is located a short walk across the bridge. This way you can walk over and visit the resort. I highly recommend checking out the Landscape of Flavors food court - it's my new favourite!
Hope this helps Bethany! Write back if you have any questions as you plan your vacation!
