a few months ago I purchased yearly passes. I was wondering if I use those if I can still get the free dining plan, the way I read it I would need to buy a ticket package, if this is the case can I return my yearly passes and just buy the ticket package

My husband and I have annual passes but we want to benefit from the free dining option. Could we buy 7 days ticket with our reservation but not use them on this trip, instead use them later in an other trip to WDW?

Absolutely! Since you need to purchase tickets as part of a vacation package in order to take advantage of the Free Dining offer, you can just save your tickets for a future visit.
