We are using ME when we arrive to Disney, However, family and friends who live in the area will be spending time with us at the parks and hotel, along with babysitting our DS at night in our room. Will parking at our hotel (Contemporary) be a problem?

In general, only guests of the resort or guests eating at the resort are permitted to park on-site at the resorts. This prevents people from parking at the resorts for free and then taking the Disney transportation into the theme parks and not paying for parking at the theme park. The resorts have only enough parking for the guests staying there.
There should be no problem with them paying for parking at the theme parks, and then meeting up with you at the parks. A tip for them is if they have a cell phone with a camera, they should take a picture of their parking location, and then it will be easy to find their way back to the car.
If they do park in the parking lot of one of the theme parks, they can still use the Disney transportation to move between resorts and theme parks.
