Having just returned from Disney during "Peak" season for Spring Break, I can tell you that peak indeed means peak! Some attractions had 100 minute waits....(that's why I always recommend using the Fastpass
system!) Last year, when we went over the Easter weekend in March, we chose to visit the water parks instead of braving the crowds in the theme parks and were so glad we did.
The weather was great and we did not experience the crowds you see during the summer at the water parks!
Traditionally, the week between Palm Sunday and Easter sees the highest crowd levels except for Christmas, and I would think that this would be true for next year. The weeks leading up to it, tend to also be crowded with families on Spring Break, hence, the "peak" designation.
In 2010, Easter will be April 4. If crowds are a concern for you, and you have the choice, I would recommend the later weeks in April 2010 versus March or early April. Crowds will be lower--and so will the rates! What a great combination!
Wishing you a magical vacation!
