Does WDW close parking lot(s) during peak holiday weekends? I read this on a budget travel website. What exactly does this mean? I'm visiting on President's Day weekend and planning to drive from our off-site hotel.

While the Disney World parks are huge, they do have a maximum capacity. On rare occasion, this means that they do need to suspend entry into the parks for a few hours to control the number of people in the parks. Guests at WDW owned hotels are exempt from this.
I have been at WDW during five of the last six President's Weeks and have not heard of the parking lot control happening during this time period. It will be quite busy on President's weekend, but not off-the-charts crowded the way it would be during Christmas week.
If you are staying off-site during one of the most popular weeks, the way to make sure you are allowed into the parks is to ARRIVE EARLY. Be there before the park opens. If you arrive after about 10:00 during Christmas week, there is a possibility you could be disappointed.
