Want to take the family on a cruise, what are our options for rooms, with 5 kids? Thank you.

Well, you've outdone me! I'm always in a quandary when planning a vacation for my family with four children -- it takes a little extra planning to be in charge of that many. Right? Yet, you've come to the right place. Not only can I help you, but Disney has made taking a cruise vacation easier by accommodating families of our size.
Depending on which ship you choose, you can sleep up to 7 people in some DCL staterooms/suites. However, for greater flexibility (in terms of choosing dates, itineraries and vessels), I suggest pricing out your options for connecting staterooms. There are inside and outside staterooms which connect on each of the ships and which sleep 3 or 4. Of course, the farther out you book your cruise, the better chance you'll have at booking connecting staterooms. There's a convenient tool on the site which allows you to Compare Staterooms
, and you can see for yourself the amenities and advantages to each.
For our family, we reserve two connecting staterooms (with one adult in each), and we carefully divide up the children based on their size and how well they get along. It works for us! I hope our experiences help you plan.
Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
