We are taking our first trip to WDW in October. I have 3 boys ages 16,15,and 11. This is all new to me and I would like to know where is the best place to stay with teenagers and things to do. What kind of suggestions do you have for planning our trip?

I, too, have 3 sons: 17, 14, & 11! Their favorite resorts are the Contemporary
(can walk to the Magic Kingdom), the Yacht
(amazing pool), & the Animal Kingdom Lodge
(watch animals from the room).
As Disney Vacation Club members, we love having the extra space by staying at a deluxe villa. When we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village this summer, we had a 2 bedroom villa, which meant each child had his own bed to sleep; we had 3 full bathrooms, a kitchen, & a washer/dryer. And the good news is that to stay at one of the villas, you don't need to be a DVC member. However, these are more costly. A similar option & less costly is to stay at 2 connecting rooms at any of the resorts or a family-suite at the All-Star Music
To help with what to do, I love the website www.touringplans.com; it offers over 100 itineraries to help make the most of your days at the parks and has plans tailored for traveling with teens. And with an October trip, you could visit Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party (extra ticket, though) and Epcot's International Food & Wine Festival.
I realize I'm just touching the surface -- please let me know if I can help again by clicking here
(I'm limited on space). And also, click here
