We will be in WDW 12/4-12/9.Planned on going to watch spectro parade/wishes on 12/5. Heard Christmas program taping will be going on? Will the parade still be open for anyone to watch? Is this the parade they are taping? Thanks for your answers!

Hi Steve!
December 5, 2009 is going to be one busy day in the Magic Kingdom! This is the day that they will be filming the Christmas Day parade that airs on ABC on Christmas morning. Spots to be in the audience are already taken, but that doesn't mean that you can't still have fun in the Magic Kingdom! Just bear in mind that Main Street will be completely gridlocked when you enter, but that the crowds will thin out as you hit the attractions. You may even catch a glimpse of a star or two as you make your way through the massive crowds on Main Street!
Later on that evening, the Spectromagic Parade will be shown at 9:00 PM and then again at 11:00 PM. In between the two, the Wishes! Firework display will take place at 10:00 PM. If you would like to catch Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during your stay, I recommend attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on either December 4th, 6th or 8th. This is an event that requires a separate admission ticket, but it is sooo much fun! If you don't want to spend any extra money for the party tickets, don't despair. All of Disney World will be completely decked out with Christmas decorations and will surely put you in the Holiday spirit!!!
Much pixie dust,
Jackie S.
